

CHARLOTTE VAN DEN REEK

Charlotte is an aerialist, vertical dancer, pole dancer and all round dancer.
She was born and raised in the Netherlands and she studied and graduated with two Bachelors one for Uitvoerend Hedendaags Danser at the Codarts Rotterdam Dance Academy and the other one at the JMD at the Theaterschool of the Amsterdam University for Performing Arts in the Netherlands. She danced with several contemporary dance compagnies like:mComplexions Contemporary Ballet, Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, Danstheater Aya
Aerial Artist:
Charlotte has many different skills in the air and is specialized in hoop, flying pole, vertical dance and counterbalance. She performed her own hoop solo 40 times in Moviepark Germany. Performed on many festivals and conventions in The Netherlands and beyond. With the Aerialettes she performed a bungee flying harnass act in the Ziggodome alongside Natasja. As a flying discoball in our spectaculair mirrorsuits she has been steady as a aerial artist aswell. Charlotte her hoop solo was performed at a christmass celebration in Rijk van de Keijzer and she had a stunning part in the High Point Celebration of KJ The Hague dancing from 90 meters down.

(Vertical)Dancer
With The Aerialettes she has done the premiere of Floating Rhytmhs a vertical dance duet together with Boris Boes at The Sieraad in Amsterdam. As a dancer she has worked with different choreographers like: Nanine Linning, Itzik Galili, Nicole Beutler, Ballet Zürich. But also performed on the mainstage of Tomorrowland as a performer on the ground.
As a vertical dancer she also performed with the vertical dance collective Ropes Aligned in the performance ''Unfolding Multitude'' at The Motorblok Zaandam together with Isabel Cordeiro, Gemma Hauptmeijer and Mees Siderius as a part of the Why Not Festival.
She is also the Cofounder of Womanhood and as a choreograoher creating many projects. Charlotte is a creative busy bee who loves theater, art, dance and culture. Charlotte is breathing these all and she is a true core of The Aerialettes!
